World class Atlantic salmon fly fishing action awaits the traveler following  a 60 minute helicopter ride over  unspoiled wilderness   to Grey River, the most remote river  on the island of Newfoundland, Canada.   Grey River Lodge operates two large, modern,  cedar log lodges on this river system, providing guests with many more services than most would expect in such an isolated location.

While providing our guests with a superior fly fishing experience is most important, we continually strive to attain  a high level of first class service from a staff of friendly and experienced cooks and guides.  The tremendous atmosphere created at our lodges is the way fly fishing was meant to be.   If you are not into fly fishing, our lodges offer great comfort allowing the visitor to relax and enjoy the fantastic wilderness environment, or if hiking and exploring is your thing, the possibilities are endless.

Company Profile

Our lodges have now been in operation for fifteen years.  We are an owner/operated business, with both business partners being involved with all aspects of operation.  from initial telephone conversations and the taking of your reservation, to the making of necessary trip arrangements and attending  to your needs  at the lodge, including, in as much as possible,  being beside you in the field.   Your experience is our experience.  Our commitment to the operation of Grey River Lodge Ltd. has been complete, both financially and with personal hands on  involvement in lodge constructions and all ongoing upgrades.   The primary concern of the owners and our professional staff is the clients total satisfaction in the wilderness experience that we provide at all our lodges.

Over the years of our operation, guests of Grey River Lodge, including many novice anglers, have achieved very high standards of angling success while pursuing the very elusive Atlantic Salmon.   We are very proud of our continued extremely high percentage of repeat clients.  

One very experienced, well known fly fisherman and outdoor writer  was heard telling someone at an outdoor sport show that  " I have traveled to many places fly fishing, and have gone  to a  few of them twice, but I have been to Grey River seven times ".
